This week we have been practicing the active reading strategy Double Entry Journal and using textual evidence and providing analysis, questions, and/or opinions.

 Now it time to take what we have been doing in class and apply to your independent reading.

 You will read for 30 minutes.  Then for the rest of the period you will write double entry journal by fining quotes that provide insight into the narrator’s (speaker’s voice), humor, emotional event, or societal issue.
