"How does the story of "The Big Fish (the Goodwin's journey) relate to our lives?"

  • There is no 'wrong' way to approach this assignment; just be honest and reflective on the "moral of the story' of Given and the search for the Big Fish. What is the moral of the story?
  • It may help to think and write about the metaphors and symbolism revealed by what is said by Given. It may also help to think and write about what lessons are being passed down by the Goodwin family’s search for the Big Fish.
  • Use "because," "I think," and "For example," in your paragraph(s) to extend your ideas (what you are thinking) and help you reflect authentically in writing.
  • ****I will do a 'spot check' tomorrow and the assignment will count as a grade. Please follow my instructions.
  • No late work: Good luck.
