Today we started a new section on geometric sequences. We started by being able to identify them. Attached are the day's notes, handouts, and homework (whatever they did not finish in class) 

Quiz today. Students were given a person cut out in which they had to write/draw: 

1. college of their choice

2. Major of their choice

3. Draw 5 things that represent either the major or the college.

Today we did a car depreciation value activity to begin exploring exponential decay. I did an example in class but answers varied depending on the type of car students chose. Attached is my example and the handout. Turned in at the end of the period. 

 

Meeting today so last half of class spent reading article attached. 

 

Homework/Classwork: Find a car/motorcycle/vehicle (new/used) you would like to buy that is less than 100,000$. Write type of car and the cost on the reading handout and bring to class tomorrow!
