Welcome to blended learning at EHS. Most of your learning will take place online without the use of direct instruction from a teacher although a teacher is available to you if you need help. The computer system provides individualized tutorial instruction and allows you to learn at your own pace on a flexible schedule. With this flexibility comes responsibility. You must pace yourself accordingly. You are responsible for meeting all of the deadlines including having all work and tests completed by the end date for the class.

Mastery-based curriculum:

You will take a Mastery Test for almost every lesson. This is to prove your competency with the material in that lesson. Mastery Tests must be passed with an 80% or higher. You may take them at home, you do not need to be supervised by a teacher when taking a Mastery Test. If you score lower than an 80%, you need to watch the tutorial again so you can retake the Mastery Test. Mastery Tests will unlock after the tutorial has been reviewed again completely. They are unlocked to begin with and can be unlocked 4 additional times by watching the tutorial again. If you still do not pass mastery after the 5th attempt, you will need to contact your instructor to unlock the Mastery Test.

Unit Post Tests and Final Exams are locked and must be proctored. They are taken on the computer in the classroom at your school with an approved proctor or your instructor. Although the content and tests for your classes are online you may be required to take written tests during class periods as part of your overall class grade.
