English 9 is a college-preparatory course designed to prepare students for higher education and/or the world or work. Course activities will be focused on developing students’ reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in alignment with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  A wide variety of instructional experiences and assessment strategies will be provided throughout the year to ensure students are making adequate progress toward meeting the College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards.
