Spanish 1 (Period 5)

Course Description

Hello,

I am a 1975 graduate of UC Irvine.  As an Anteater, I earned a BA in Spanish with a Bilingual/Cross Cultural specialization.  I later earned an MA from the University of Arizona in Latin American Studies.  I have lived in Lake Elsinore since 1986 when I was fortunate enough to be hired by the Lake Elsinore Unified School District to teach ELD and Spanish.

Course Description: This is a one-year, college preparatory course in which students will learn and use reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in the target language. Students will participate in activities which introduce basic Spanish vocabulary, grammar, simple conversation and survival skills in the target language. Students will explore cultural diversity of Spanish-speaking countries. This course meets the district graduation requirements for Fine Art/Foreign Language. This course meets UC/CSU (LOTE-e) requirements.
