Welcome to World History.  This course will begin with a look at world religions and the rise of democratic ideas and end with modern world issues.  Along the way, we will explore topics such as Ancient Greece and Rome, the Atlantic Revolutions, the Industrial Revolution, Imperialism, World War I, the Holocaust, World War II and the Cold War, and the Modern Age. 

The World History course is a valuable opportunity for you to become exposed to a variety of events, ideas, people and places that will broaden your knowledge, allow you to better appreciate history and our contemporary society, and help you become more socially literate and aware.
