Students in Action is a club that promotes community and culture awareness while offering students an opportunity to develop leadership skills.
Activities:
- Students in Action Cafe (fundraiser)
- Dia de los Muertos
- Cinco de Mayo
Lunch meetings:
Mondays- leaders only
Tuesdays- Members
Membership:
Leaders- 5-10
Fluctuates (about 20-30) Membership increases with cultural projects
Most recent activities:
Dia de los muertos
Academy Awards (SIA) prepared the environment
Cinco de Mayo was postponed due to COVID
Students in Action was featured in the Community Newspaper.
Requirements:
A big heart for service, a great desire to build community through cultural and other events.
Purpose for joining the club: To make a positive difference in the lives of others by being impactful in your sphere of influence.
