Our JROTC Color Guard team posted the Colors for the State of the District luncheon event. Two of our senior students were selected and recognized for their accomplishments being in JROTC for four years, and their plans after graduation.

Congratulations to our marching band and colorguard students on their second 1st place win in a row this season. This past weekend they were in a competition hosted by Loara High School in Anaheim where they earned both the highest music score and the highest marching score in their division.

Our JROTC students performed and presented the Colors at The State of the City event hosted by our Lake Elsinore Mayor Steve Manos. 

Our JROTC students were excited for our annual field trip to the Miramar Air Show. They got to see aviation technology and career paths such as Helicopters, Jets, Airplanes in different military branch like Marines, Navy, and Air Force.

We want to thank our awesome Principal, Mrs. Pauline Leavitt, for coming to our JROTC classroom during lunch today, and cut the birthday cake in celebrating the U.S. Air Force birthday. 

Our students/cadets from JROTC had such a great time at our summer retreat at Camp Pendleton for 5 days. They learn about leadership, teamwork, motivation, and responsibility. Plus, they were exposed to different career pathways such as military police, K-9 patrol, fire and rescue, pilot, navigation, and many more. We want to thank Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in hosting and feeding our cadets for five days for an amazing time!

Congratulations to our students who competed at the HOSA international leadership conference in Houston and placed in the top 10 in sports medicine and emotional well being competitions!

Our JROTC Honor Guard team were invited to post the colors during the event of the 2024 Salute to the Elected event. The event was to celebrate the elected officials such as Mayors, Council members, and School District leaders of the surrounding cities of Corona, Riverside, Temecula, Canyon Lake, Wildomar, and Lake Elsinore. 

Our JROTC students had the opportunity to attend a survival training field trip at Marine Corps Big Bear Recreational Facility. They learned land navigation, compass reading, proper body temperature, and survival preparedness

Congratulations! Stacy Styrcula was recognized by LEUSD at the Board meeting, as the classified employee of the month for May. Stacy is an outstanding College and Career Tech who has created many opportunities for students in the workforce, military and Colleges/Universities. We are proud that she is a Tiger, and we are thankful she has chosen Elsinore High school as her family and home.

Our JROTC cadets/students were invited to participate in the Memorial Day Service event at Elsinore Valley cemetery to honor our fallen heroes.

Thank you to everyone who attended VAPA night this year! We love celebrating the arts!

Our Jazz Band students had the opportunity to serve the community as musical ambassadors when they gave an assembly performance and facilitated a "musical instrument petting zoo" at a local charter school. They gave about 30 pre-schoolers to 12 year-olds an awesome experience and represented EHS professionally.

Our JROTC students were honored to perform the flag ceremony at the Storm minor league baseball during the season-opening weekend. 

EHS students are attending the HOSA State Leadership Conference this week in Anaheim, CA. In addition to attending leadership workshops, the students are competing in a variety of events, including Sports Medicine, Public Service Announcement, Prepared Speaking, Health Career Photo, Nutrition, and Medical Law and Ethics. We also have students being recognized for their hard work, including the Barbara James Service Award, HOSA Happenings, and Blood Drives of America. Good luck, Tigers! 

Over Spring Break, three EHS Ag students participated in the FFA Southern Region Speaking Finals at Cal Poly Pomona. From left to right, Hanna Wedeking competed in Job Interview, Sophia Yoshida competed in Prepared Speaking, and Chase Weiland competed in Extemporaneous. Sophia Yoshida placed 2nd and is moving on to the state speaking competition in Fresno. Great job, Tigers! 

We are so proud of our JROTC cadets/ students for their outstanding performance at the San Juan Capistrano Swallows parade. Our students/cadets endured the rain while marching the parade route. They were professional and represented our JROTC program and school to the highest level. This is the 11th year that JROTC got invited and appeared in this parade, and we’ve proudly continued that tradition!

Our annual JROTC Military Ball at EHS was a success on Saturday night ! Our students/ Cadets had a wonderful time. It was a night of military customs and traditions. Our students/ cadets voted for our Royal Court. Plus, great catered food from Willy’s Tacos and dancing afterwards. 

 Students who are enrolled in JROTC classes went to Perris indoor skydiving as part of our S.T.E.M program, they applied we learned in our class about physics, velocity, and wind speed. Our students had a great time!

Elsinore Cheer's competition team competed against 31 teams in the largest division at USA Nationals, hit a 0-deduction routine, and advanced to finals. Only 9 teams made it to the finals and your Tigers placed 3rd! They worked extremely hard all season and we are so proud of their achievements!

Cheerleaders from TCHS, LHS, CLMS, and EHS all showcased their competition cheer performances at Elsinore before they head to USA Nationals!

FFA took 27 students to Ontario to attend the Made for Excellence and Advanced Leadership Academy where they worked on leadership development, team building skills, and conflict resolution

A 30-year commitment to being role models and mentors for student athletes speaks volumes about Coach Wolter and Coach Rettinger's impact on both the sports community and the lives of the individuals they've guided. It's clear that their influence goes beyond the scoreboard, contributing to the personal and athletic development of those they've coached. Here's to three decades of positive influence and to many more years of success and inspiration! Wishing them continued success in their coaching journey!

If you are in the EHS library be sure to check out the California Commodities display. It has been created by students in Agricultural Biology classes this semester. It shares some cool visuals and educational information about California's commodities. California is the #1 Agriculture Producing State in the US and produces over 400 different commodities.

The JROTC Honor Guard was honored to be invited to attend Lakeland Village School’s Veteran’s Day assembly event on Nov 14th. The JROTC students were excited to be part of this awesome celebration. 

The JROTC cadets honoring our Veterans with a Honor Guard Flag display of each branch of the U.S. military and with a music medley of the branches song during our school break today. Most of our cadets/students have parents/guardians and/or family members who are serving or served our U.S. Armed Forces.

Our JROTC cadets/students volunteered for Campus Clean-up during Extreme Saturday to help with beautification of our school and earned community service hours. They did an amazing job and applied one of our core values - "Service Before Self." 

Our JROTC cadets/students had a great opportunity to attend education day at the Miramar Air Show where they saw what they have been learning in class lessons which is Aviation.

Our first U CAN event was very successful! Students received on the spot admittance and scholarships. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this happen in such a short time.

On September 18, 1947, the Air Force detached from the Army and became its military branch. Our JROTC students welcomed our Principal, Mrs. Hamilton, on Monday, September 18th to celebrate and cut the cake with one of our Color Guard Saber.

Our students attended the Latino College Expo where they were able to explore Cal Poly Pomona and meet with over 70 colleges and career representatives!

Our JROTC students volunteer at the College and Career Expo at the Outlets by helping setting up, organizing, and disassembling tables and chairs. They also prepared gift bags, and provided assistance for the college/recruiting representatives. It was a great event turnout, and volunteer opportunity for our students. Service before self! 

Our JROTC had the honor to present the colors and perform Proud to be American at the City of Canyon Lake event. We are so proud of our students and thank you for your support of our JROTC program.

Please help us congratulate Cecilia Carrillo who started yellow lab Mahi, and Serenity Blancarte who started black lab Junior. These were Cecilia and Serenity's first puppies. They received them in February of 2022 and raised them from 8-weeks to 5-months-old before they transferred to other raisers in the GDB community. Only about 40% of puppies gradate as Guide Dogs and we are so proud of Cecilia and Serenity!

Congratulations to Daj' Williams who placed 2nd overall in Southern California at the CIF Masters meet. Her jump of 39'8.5" moves her on to the State Championship. Daj' has an opportunity to be the first ever female athlete to win a State Title. Best of luck Daj!

JROTC students did an amazing job and were thrilled to present the colors during the pledge of allegiance at the LEUSD Staff End of the Year Event. 

Congratulations to Daj’Eauna Williams for winning the Division 1 CIF Championship in triple jump. Daj’ becomes only the 3rd female athlete to win a track CIF championship in school history. She is currently ranked #1 going into the Masters Meet this Saturday and in serious consideration for becoming the first female athlete to ever win an individual state championship in Elsinore HS history.

Last week, our awesome JROTC students had the honor and privilege to brief about the JROTC program in our school to the District School Board and Trustees. Also, they presented the Colors for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Congratulations to student-athlete Mykai Skinner who was honored on 4/30/23 with the prestigious NFF Riverside Scholar Athlete award for academic and athletic excellence.

It is presented each year by the National Football Foundation Riverside Chapter to the top student athlete football players in the county based on academic(GPA) and athletic(Football accolades) standards.

Painting rocks for our spring activity with Peer Buddies!

Congratulations to Daj Williams who was named Press Enterprise Athlete of the Week. She won four events and set three school records during a three-way meet against Norco and Temescal Canyon. Daj established school records in the long jump (19 feet, 5 inches), triple jump (39 feet, 3 inches) and high jump (5 feet, 7 inches). She ranks No. 1 in the state in the long jump for the 2023 outdoor season, No. 2 in the state in the triple jump and No. 3 in the state for the high jump. She picked up a fourth victory at the meet, winning the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.70 seconds.

Congratulations to our Academic Decathlon who won second place overall as well as second place in the team Super Quiz event in the Riverside County Academic Decathlon competition. Our team took home 24 medals! Way to go, team!
