 Prerequisite: Successful Completion of Spanish 1 with grade C or higher or teacher recommendation.
 
Course Description: This is a one year, college preparatory course in which students will further develop and use reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, in the target language. Each student will use the language to engage in informal communication to express interests, ideas and concerns in reference to self and others. Students will continue to explore cultural diversity of Spanish speaking countries. This course meets the district graduation requirements for Fine art/Foreign Language. This course meets UC/CSU (LOTE-e) requirements.

If you earned 39 or more points, you may earn 5 exam points by completing Flashcards, Learn, Speller, Test, and Scatter for BOTH the Palabras Interoggativas and the Escritura 2 phrases decks on Quizlet by midnight on August 31 (the midnight between Wednesday and Thursday.
 
If you earned less than 38 points, you may do the work mentioned above to earn a retake exam.  Exam will be on Sept. 2 during class.  Highest grade you may earn on the retake is 39 points.

Tell the story:  Your  family and neighbors have decided to do a big Spring Clean Day.  Draw the event.  Who is cleaning what room?  Who is working together to get things done?  Concentrate on the house and the front and back yards.   Write at least 15 sentences. Write the sentences on a clean sheet of paper.  Please do not write the sentences on the drawing.  Write about a variety of people.  Use the GERUND to write these sentences.

1  Make flashcards for the chores vocabulary.  Spanish term on one side, English on the other.  Extra credit if you draw/cut out, insert pictures for the English side INSTEAD OF writing the English words.  Note:  Inserting images on Quizlet is an upgrade feature ($20. per year).  So, make a decision as to how you will do the assignment.  Quizlet is not a requirement in terms of making flashcards.  You can make paper cards.  You do not need to be rich to get an A in my class.  See attached files for vocabulary lists.  Rulers are behind the whiteboard.  Paper is on the cart.
