TOMORROW we will begin 1:1 conferences on your vignettes. Please bring a neat handwritten (or typed and printed) final draft of your "My Name" vignette. We will review together. Also bring any questions you might have about writing your vignette so far so that I can help you.
  • Remember that your vignette must mimic Sandra Cisneros' style and therefore you must use lots of descriptive writing (show not tell!)
    • Use adjectives to create a vivid picture in the mind of your reader
    • Appeal to the senses
  • You must include simile/metaphor in this vignette.
