Tentative test dates AP Calculus

Hello AP Calculus students:
Mrs Leibold is planning ahead and wanted you to be prepared for the rest of the AP Calculus semester and what we have remaining
 
Dates and points are tentative but at least you can be somewhat prepared for the percentage a test is worth I will update when things change (points right now are based from last year:
 
 Test for Ch.5 both parts (70 points)
 
 Test Ch.6-1 part only (50 points) (2 quizzes this unit)-Week of March 4-8
 
 Ch.9 Quiz only- Week of March 18-21
 
Overall AP MC test-(90 points) April 11-12
 
AP FRQ test (68 points)  April 25-26
 
AP MC test (90 points) May 2-3
 
To be successful in this class and on the AP test you will want to start a study plan to complete extra sample exams either from AP Central, one of our books, or a practice book you have purchased or borrowed. The overall tests are curved  but you have to think of an A as a 5, B as a 4, C as a 3 and so on.
 
BC students: I would make a plan to TRY to understand of all the integration stuff like Parts, partial fractions, trig substitutions, and the volume stuff by mid march. Then start looking at the remaining topics.

Calculus Winter Break assignment

Fast Track to a 5 book
1. Complete MC and FRQ problems from Ch.1-3. Time your self about 2 min per MC and 15 min per FRQ. Score and correct solutions.
2. Read through Ch. 4 thoroughly. You may want to pull up some videos to help with understanding. This will give you an edge when we come back from break (Ch.5 and 7 from this book we will also be covering 2nd semester FYI).
3. Complete MC and FRQ no time limit and score and then correct.
**All corrections on a separate paper**
 
DUE FIRST DAY OF 2nd SEMESTER!
 
Please bring Hand/Rectangle/Riemann Sum handout ready to begin that first day.

For your math midterms this week please bring paper and a #2 pencil and any homework due that day. No electronics are allowed other than calculators for certain classes for the entire period. Please bring other things to work on if you finish early. Your cell phones must be put away in your backpack for the entire period. If you need to finish up a final for another class or would like to be released to another class once you have finished you must have a pass ahead of time from your teacher or have that teacher email me beforehand.
