Pass the Dance shoe challenge

STILL NEED MORE VIDEO SUBMISSIONS TO CREATE MY VIDEO!

Calling all dancers:  Please watch the video above for more information.
Choreograph maybe 2-3 cts. of 8 of movement in whatever style you prefer.

You will grab your dance shoe from your right, perform your 2-3 cts. of 8 of choreography and then toss it to your left.  If you have a half sole or ballet shoe that would be best, if not a pair of vans or converse.  Have fun with it!  You will need someone to toss you the shoe and someone to record you doing the dance phrase and don't forget to toss the shoe to your left at the end of your video.

I would really like to incorporate dancers from all classes in this compilation.  I will count this as an extra assignment for credit.

Send to me by this Friday, May 15th

April 27- May 1 Beg. Enrichment

Dear Dancers,
Here is a video explaining the enrichment assignment for April 27-May 1. This week we will be focusing on dynamic/energy.  You will create choreography that is 30-45 seconds in length to instrumental music (no lyrics) choosing 3 of the 7 qualities of movement that are discussed in the video. I tried to give you visual examples of all of the qualities of movement.  Good luck and if you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]

Art Connects - RCOE Virtual Student Arts Competition

Dear Students,
Please check the following competition out.  Week 3 is the dance category.  This would be a great opportunity for you to use your dance skills and possibly be recognized and receive a prize.  Love and miss you all!  If you are feeling creative this is a great opportunity to choreograph something that has purpose.
