WELCOME TO AVID!
For one period a day, students receive additional academic, social, and emotional support that will help them succeed in their most rigorous courses in high school and prepare them for global success.
Students will learn and apply study skills and learning strategies to improve performance in the content areas:
- +Note taking
- +Outlining
- +Writing
- +Speaking
- +Reading
- +Use of technology
- +Critical Thinking
Students will be supported and meet the expectations of being enrolled in a rigorous course of study, maintain satisfactory grades, and outstanding citizenship while participating in AVID.
