My name is Jeff Alves and I am an Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor at Elsinore High School. I am excited to be one of 3 Agriculture Teachers at EHS. I teach Agricultural Biology - our intro course for Freshman. Agricultural Biology counts for the Science/Biology requirement to graduate. I am also the FFA Advisor. I am passionate about the agriculture industry and leadership development. The FFA Organization is an incredible life changing organization that focuses on premier leadership personal growth, and career success. I look forward to working with the students, parents, and community members to reach our full potential.

FFA strives to develop students' potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA is a graded component of every Agriculture course at EHS.
Every student needs to earn 4 FFA Points each semester. Points can be earned both during school hours (such as lunch time activities) and/or by getting involved in leadership conferences, competitive Career Development Events or Leadership Development Events, and other special events from the local level and above.
SAE
All students enrolled in agriculture classes are expected to maintain a Supervised Agriculture Experience project (SAE). Through an SAE, students gain real skills and knowledge that cannot be replicated in the classroom setting. Students will record a minimum of one hour and one picture of their SAE each week once SAE Projects begin.
Make your SAE Project journal entries in the link to the AET website below.
