Welcome to Mrs. Metter's Art classes. As the teacher I will encourage students to think and talk about art, I will engage them to become excited about their own art by creating connection to their life, culture, community, and core subjects. I will strive to evolve and improve my teaching practices in order to develop enthusiastic and independent learners. It is my job to meet the needs of all of my diverse learners and I will address each student’s unique learning style. I will commit myself to teaching my students to communicate ideas and personal expressions through art and reach their full potential as productive citizens. Grading Policy:  In my class, half of the student's grade comes from effort and the other half comes from the completion of assignments that adhere to a rubric.
