Hello Scholars!   Welcome to the 24-25 school year!  I have taught going on 24 years and enjoy helping students meet and exceed their potential!  I am going on my eleventh year here at Elsinore High School.  I am here for you so feel free to share any concerns with me.  I will do my best to assist you!

I am married (19 years in November)  to my prince charming, an Occupational Therapist, and we have two adorable munchkins. Madisen (15) is going into high school and Matthew Jr. (14) is going into the 9th grade.  Madisen is caring and has an old soul and loves everyone while Jr. is a reserved creative and likes to argue so I think he may become a lawyer.

My favorite things to do for fun are board games with my family, watch movies, read and shop.  People always tell me I should be a stylist or designer but I actually had my sights and planned on becoming a doctor (pediatrician).  I discovered I didn't like needles, blood, etc so I had to change my major while I was at UC Berkeley.  My dad, who was a retired teacher and principal encouraged me to give teaching a chance.  I wanted to work with kids and that has been a fulfilling passion since I started teaching.  My favorite part about teaching is when a student "gets it" or after they graduate they come back and tell me how great they are doing and how I affected their lives.

I love listening to everything from Kendrick Lamar to classical music and Enya.  I have a sweet tooth and love everything chocolate.
