Welcome,

My name is Matt Kelly and I have been in the transportation industry for 26 years. During my time in the transportation industry I have held many different roles from repair technician, college professor, department head, small business owner, electric bus manufacturing and finally a high school teacher.  

 

I have a varied educational background, I graduated for Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in 1994 with an AOS in automotive technology. Late in life I returned to school and earned a Bachelor's Degree in business from the University of Phoenix. I did not feel like I had suffered enough so I returned to school and earned a Masters Degree from the University of Redlands. I recently completed my CTE teaching credential through the University of San Diego.

 

I have been in education for 15 years and have been teaching high school for 5 years. I am in my 4th year with Elsinore HS. Along with teaching I am one of the football coaches here at EHS. I can truly say I have found a home hear at Elsinore and look forward to many more years. 

 

2020-21 School year is going to be a challenge to say the least but with a little perseverance, grace, and determination we can make this year as good or better than any other. I would like all of my students and parents to live by 1 moto this year. 

 

It is a term I heard years ago and come from the Marine Corps and it means always flexible. This coming year more than any we all need to stay as flexible as possible.
