School nurses serve students!
LEUSD’s Health Services Department consists of 10 district nurses (school nurses) who oversee the delivery of health services to nearly 22,000 students.

District nurses are licensed registered nurses with a Bachelors or Masters Degree, as well as a School Nurse Credential issued by the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing. Health Offices are also staffed by health clerks who maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, and are trained by the district nurses.
